Proactive Code Enforcement Initiative 

The City of Tuscola is launching a new phase of proactive code enforcement aimed at educating residents and ensuring compliance with city ordinances. Our primary goal is to encourage voluntary compliance with standards for property maintenance that help keep our community clean, safe, and attractive for everyone. This initiative will emphasize health and safety concerns as well as general property upkeep, with a focus on fostering a positive and cooperative relationship between the City and its residents. Common issues that code enforcement will address include:

Overgrown grass or weeds

Accumulation of junk, debris, or discarded items

Inoperable or unlicensed vehicles on private property

Deteriorating structures or fencing

Improper storage of trash

Outdoor storage that violates city code
